This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Penzance Open Tournament – our flagship event that draws competitors from all over the country.
Famous for being a very friendly tournament, with players and their families returning year after year, many consider it the highlight of their tennis calendar.
To celebrate our Diamond Anniversary we hope to make this year our biggest and best yet – with 18 categories, including 2 new for this year (65+ Mens Doubles and 65+ Ladies Doubles) plus handicap events that always prove popular, there’s something for everyone – whatever your level of tennis!
The tournament starts with play on the afternoon of Sunday 27th July for the Mixed Doubles Handicap, followed by The President’s Reception party celebration early Sunday evening – a great social event that welcomes competitors to Penzance. The rest of the events begin on Monday 28th July and the tournament concludes with Finals Day on Saturday 2nd August.
Throughout the week the First Service Cafe will keep competitors and spectators fed with delicious food and plenty of home-made cakes, and our sun-soaked terrace makes the ideal viewing platform to watch all the action on court.
